Wild Bengal, first book authored by Dr. Debal Sen, is a collection of photographs of the disappearing wildernesses of West Bengal. This unique state in India has an altitudinal variation starting from the high Himalayas at altitudes of about 3,636 metres to the sea level. The landscape, flora and fauna reflect this great diversity. West Bengal is the only state in India which encompasses the Himalayas and the largest mangrove formation in the world, the Sunderbans within its perimeters. Sen's book highlights this incredible biodiversity and was the first of its kind ever to be published in West Bengal.
